Financing

Most people do not buy a generator. They buy a monthly payment.

A whole-house standby system is a five-figure purchase, and almost nobody writes a cheque for it. Financing is available, the application is quick, and the credit decision usually comes back the same day.

Before we dig

Approval happens before any work starts

How it goes

Four steps, and the credit check happens before the shovel.

Nobody starts work on your property before you know what it costs and how you are paying for it. That order matters — it is what stops a project becoming a negotiation halfway through.

1 · Free assessment

We come out, do a real load calculation, look at the panel, the meter and where the pad can legally go. No charge and no obligation.

2 · Itemised written scope

Equipment, pad, gas, electrical, permit and startup as separate lines. This is the number the financing is based on, so it has to be right before anything else happens.

3 · Apply and get a decision

A short application through our finance partner. The decision usually comes back the same day, and it tells you your actual term and payment — not an estimate.

4 · Schedule and permit

Once you accept, we file the permit that day. Two to six weeks from signature to power, driven by the permit and the gas utility rather than by us.

The application

What you will need, and what we will need.

Applications are short and the decision usually is not the slow part — the permit is. Having these ready means the whole thing can happen in one visit.

What are you looking at?

It changes the scope, which is what the financing is based on.

Where should we send it?

A person from our Houston office replies the same business day.

By submitting, you are asking Generator Industries to contact you about this request. We use the details above to reply.

No credit check happens from this form. Nothing is run until you have the written scope.

Straight answers about paying for it

The questions people ask before they apply.

What will my monthly payment be?

We will not put a number on that here, and we would be wary of anyone who does. Your payment depends on the approved term and rate, which come from the lender after the application — not from a web page.

What we can tell you honestly is the purchase price. Across our last 155 completed residential installs the median was about $17,800, and roughly three quarters came in under $20,000. Get the scope first; the payment follows from it.

Does applying affect my credit?

A finance application involves a credit check by the lender, and you should assume it appears on your file. Nothing is run from our quote form — you would be applying deliberately, after you have the written scope in front of you.

Can I pay some now and finance the rest?

Usually yes. A deposit reduces the financed amount, which reduces the term or the payment depending on how the offer is structured. We will lay out the options with the scope.

What if I am declined?

The quote stands and nothing has been spent. Some customers phase the work — the electrical and the pad first, the machine later — and we are happy to price it that way rather than lose the project.

Is financing available on a repair, or only an install?

It is designed for installations. A repair is usually a few hundred to a couple of thousand dollars, which is a different conversation — and a maintenance plan at $495 or $795 a year is the cheaper way to avoid most of them.

Why does the price vary so much between quotes?

Four things: the size of the machine, whether the gas meter needs upsizing, how far the generator sits from your panel, and whether you are covering the whole house or a managed set of circuits.

A quote that does not itemise those is not comparable to one that does. Ask every bidder to break it out.
