This policy explains what Generator Industries collects when you contact us or request a quote, why we collect it, and who we share it with. We are a Houston-based standby generator contractor and we serve customers in Texas.
What we collect
When you submit a form on this site we collect the name, email address, phone number, service address details and any message you choose to give us.
We also record technical information about how you reached us: the page you submitted from, the site that referred you, campaign parameters in the link you clicked, and advertising click identifiers supplied by Google. These are stored in your browser for up to 90 days so that the information is still present if you return before getting in touch.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare and deliver quotes, schedule and carry out installation, service and maintenance work, keep records of work performed, and understand which of our advertising leads to real enquiries.
Calls and texts
If you give us your phone number, we use it to reply to your request. If you also tick the consent box on our form, you agree we may call and text you about installation, service and quotes, including by automated dialing system or prerecorded or AI voice. That consent is never a condition of buying anything from us.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. You can also ask us to stop by calling (281) 997-9110 or emailing sales@generatorind.com, and we will act on that request promptly and by any reasonable method you use to tell us.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information.
We share it with service providers who help us run the business: Zoho, which hosts our customer records and business email, and Google, which we use to measure advertising performance. Where you ask us to install a particular manufacturer’s equipment, we share the details needed to register your installation, warranty and any manufacturer promotion with that manufacturer, such as Generac or Kohler. We may also share information where the law requires it.
Cookies and browser storage
This site stores a small record in your browser holding any advertising click identifier present in the link you arrived through, so we can connect an enquiry to the advertising that produced it. It expires after 90 days. Clearing your browser data removes it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal, warranty, tax and insurance obligations. Records relating to completed installations are kept longer because warranty and service history depend on them.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, and withdraw consent to marketing calls, texts or emails at any time. Contact us using the details below and we will respond.
Security
Information you submit is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in access-controlled business systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
