That is genuinely appreciated.
We have sent them one email saying you recommended us, with a link to our quote form. That is the only message they will get from us.
If they want a generator they will come to us in their own time, and if they do not, they will not hear from us again. Either way you have done us a favour and we would rather keep your neighbour on good terms with you than chase them.
Know someone who lost power?
Nearly a third of our work last year came from customers telling someone else about us. We have never had a way to say thank you for it. This is a start.
How this works
You give us their first name and email. We send them one email saying you recommended us, with a link to our quote form.
That is it. We will not call them. We will not text them. If they want a quote they will ask for one themselves.
We do this because you cannot agree on someone else’s behalf to be called by a contractor, and we would not put you in the position of having volunteered a friend for it. Your name is on this recommendation. We would rather protect that than get one more phone number.
There is no reward, and that is deliberate
We thought about paying for referrals. We decided against it. People have been recommending us for years without being paid, and putting money on it would change what the recommendation means — both to you and to the person receiving it.
If you send someone our way, it is because the work was good. That is worth more to us than a transaction, and we would rather spend the money doing the next job properly.
Pass on a name
Takes about thirty seconds.
