An undersized set will run fine on a mild evening and drop the load the first time the air conditioning and the well pump start together.

Placement has to satisfy local code, the manufacturer's clearance requirements and utility rules. In practice that means outside the home, on a concrete pad or on a galvanized stand where the set sits above 24 inches, a set distance from windows, doors and vents, and accessible for servicing. We confirm placement during the site visit, including noise and how it sits on the property.
We simulate a utility power failure, verify the automatic transfer switch, start the generator under load, and check voltage and frequency. Then we walk you through operating it. The point is to prove the thing actually starts and carries the load before we leave.
Yes, and more than one. Electrical, gas and the generator's placement and connection each require permitting. Skipping them risks fines and failed inspections later. We handle all of it as part of the turnkey install.
